Since its opening in 2022, Bay Pavilions in the heart of the Eurobodalla Shire has become a drawcard for sports, tourism and regional arts programs. Bay Pavilions is made up of two destinations – the Arts Leisure Centre and the Aquatic Centre. Offering a variety of amenities, Bay Pavilions includes pools, a gymnasium, and a water park, as well as theatres, an art gallery, and studios. These two distinct pavilions provide the community with a place to play and explore.

When it comes to delivering effective lighting within an indoor pool / aquatic centre, the application presents some unique challenges. Due to the combination of humidity and water, it delivers conditions comparable to the outdoor environment. Hence, why exterior luminaires are the ideal choice for illuminating aquatic centres.

To ensure a vibrant and safe space from day to night, Integral Lighting supplied a range of WE-EF LIGHTING luminaires designed for versatile applications and to withstand corrosive seaside environments. Street and area fittings and bollards deliver essential light for orientation and guidance, whilst wall luminaires and in-grounds provide soft illumination to enhance the building’s architecture. This combination of luminaires allows visitors to move safely between the two pavilions and ensures a pleasant ambience for the both local community and tourists alike.

Integral Lighting supplied Bay Pavilions Aquatic Centre in NSW with the WE-EF LIGHTING FLA460, an aesthetic luminaire with a durable 5CE + Primer Superior Corrosion Protection technology to withstand the chlorinated swimming pool air. The chosen fittings are positioned at the outer perimeter of the pool uplighting the ceiling to avoid glare and reflections on the water’s surface, enabling greater visibility of swimmers and enhancing their overall safety.
